artwork done

yay. i actually did manage to get all the artwork done for the Endgames extra for book 3. I didn’t think i would, but somehow i managed it. :) Now all i have to do is scan everything in, clean it up and assemble the pages. Its 3:51am, I have to go home and go to bed (what sucks is i gotta be here by 10 or so. whee. :) I’m gonna take a picture of the scattered stack of drawings, its a rather impressive looking batch.

Any chance to get the XML to send your whole message via the newsfeed? So we can completely read in our newsfeed browser (Opera for me)? That way I don’t have to run back on every message. I know some of the other feeds I have can do that.

    That would be cool, Thanks.

Hey, Congrats fred. its good to know that your gonna be able to pull all this off. hope you can get it all done and then settle back into your steady pace. maybe even take a holiday. god knows you deserve one. we can take a week with SGD strips, or even 3 random DPDs.

anywho… good work on the book, and good luck for the finishing.

Omedetou! You have one heck of a work ethic Piro. I’m impressed. Take a break if you can, you deserve it! And Hawk’s picture is great. I’m looking forward to the continued adventures of the Megatokyo crew on Wed. Gives me something besides a final to look forward to.

j00 good job finsihing the book. i order u to sleep. now. :P well good resting. ja ne.

  8. fredrin says:

actually, i can’t rest yet… if i assume that the scanning and cleanup for each page will take 1 hour (as is typical for MT comics) and that assembly of each page will be 1 hr (as is also typical) that’s 16 hrs of work between now and the end of the day. Whee :) Ah well, honestly, the endgames short is fun, so i’ve been enjoying it, which helps.

Yay Fred!I’m so happy that you made your deadline! I for one don’t mind if you take a week off. You really deserve it, I can’t wait to buy book 3! I hope the time flys for you and you enjoy yourself. Then get some sleep, it’s not healthy to be sleep-deprived for too long!

Good job getting the etra done! Sounds like you are doing better with this book’s deadline than the last one.. keep up the good work!

Nice. You should link the pictures to the site.

BTW: the comic today is sweet even without dialogue

What does one of these pre-edited pages look like? Heheh, no, I’m not fishing around for a sneak peek. Any old one would do.

  14. Kuze says:

Ummm Eh fred have you officially dropped warmth or are you still going to do it?

  15. Vexx says:

Last I heard from Fred… Warmth is a followup to MT — or perhaps a windup as MT winds down.
Considering the amount of energy that goes into these multi-book mangas, I’m interesting in seeing if Fred can separate his character’s personalities tween the two universes or if the MT characters form archetype/prototypes for his Warmth crew.
For those of us with short attention spans though… take a look at the length of similar manga… assuming Fred pulls out a complete MT story — there’s at least a couple more years of story in MT at the present pace.

This would be interesting to those of us attempting this activity called “art”. If you could post the stages of one of your Endgames pages (after Christmas, eh, whenever) … we monolith-monkeys learn by example after all…
