yay, ping!

It’s always fun to draw ping, but for some reason i really liked this sketch of ping (note that i added it to the Fredart sketch section :) Anyways, i’m really REALLY tired today. The weekend sorta drained me out, and so did yesterday’s comic. Working on and almost finished with the little Kimiko spinning heart design for a girls shirt (wah, they don’t make girls hoodies like that, we looked and looked :( Dealing with some MT book 3 stuff (they are gonna run a contest at Dark Horse to promote the release)… uhyaaa… so much to do.

Anyways, i gotta start scanning more stuff and get busy posting it here. It’s not that hard, i just gotta take the half hour to do it occasionally.

sorry about the short post, rents on my back… anyhow, i know you’ve heard this a billion times already, but dont push yourself to do something fast to get if over with. we’d much rather wait and have something good.

Quite honestly, Ping is my favorite character in the Megatokyo universe, and this picture seems to capture the very essence of her naiveté — I mean, Ping is an extraordinarily powerful supercomputer, but here she’s staring blankly at a cell phone, which is (computationally) several orders of magnitude below her.

Irony = genius. I wish there was a wallpaper sized version, but I suppose that’s asking for too much :)

Aww… kawaii. I’m kinna new to posting here but I read your rants on both sites alot. Anyway, I hope you can get refilled after being drained. Talking to ppl and sleeping always does it for me. I went to Ohayocon this weekend and slept for more than 12 hours when I got back. We were all sad that you weren’t there. Will you go to Ohayocon next year?

I never knew there were girl hoodies and boy hoodies. I’ve always thought they were both. =o.O=

As Sabyr sez, “There is no such thing as too much Ping.”

I recommend lots of hot tea… very centering :)
I’m trying to drop 20 pounds so everytime I’m hungry or irritable — its green tea. Boy am I centered.

Your sketches are really great! Congrats to Rodney as well ^_^ Anyway, I’m supposed to be working now, I think…Talk to ya later!

  9. Seeing this version of this picture I can see now that there is nothing at all wrong with this frame, and it is in fact a wonderful picture of Ping. I guess more can be lost in compression than we realise; there’s a metaphor in there somewhere, but I’m too tired to exploit it :p .

    Yay, Ping! Indeed.

well, this sketch made my day. i want to do something with it…probably just a CG, but maybe something more…fantastic.

I can’t wait to see book 3. Gotta convince my parents to let my actually get something online for once… *sigh* Can’t wait til I’m no longer a “minor.”

But anyways, I can tell ahead of time with all the time you spent on it, you did a hell of a job.

Now to massacre Dark Horse Comics for making that stupid entry age minimum 17… *grrrrrr*

Tell your parents about this card for teens called Visabuxx — (www.visabuxx.com), make sure they use a bank that does this service. Its a card they inject funds/allowance into that you can spend… they can control the input so that in the insanely unlikely event your card number is nicked, the loss is minimized.
Its still MUCH more likely that your card data will be stolen by minimum wage sales people at Walmart than online…
Not necessarily an endorsement, but both my teenage sons have one and we’ve had good luck with it.

I don’t believe it… I went to Denny’s and saw a waitress give the guy the “coffee pot.”
