My main task today, i think, is going to be making several runs to the post office to send off more international orders. It’s not nice and easy like the UPS guy who comes and picks up stuff every day. The post office would pick up stuff too, if we used them for our main shipping stuff (we don’t because with UPS we can have tracking on the packages, pretty important, really). The problem with international orders is that you have to take them to the post office - they won’t pick them up.
No big deal if you wanna send out one package. Got a whole bug bunch? Ugh.
Speaking of going postal, i got this really fantastic fan art of miho and ping from the very talented (and much demented) hands of Dan Kim over at Clone Army. I’ve been reading Clone Army stuff for ages, and i was surprised to hear from Dan a few months back about wanting to maybe advertise on Megatokyo. Given the, uh, nature of most of his stuff (please don’t go to his site if you are under 18 or if you are, uh, easily offended or dont handle being greatly disturbed very well ^^;;) i couldn’t let him advertise on the site, but do think he deserves some good linkage. Paper Eleven is fascinating peice - dark, moody, spooky and disturbing. His more light hearted works, Tomoyo42’s room and Nana’s Every Day Life, are no less disturbing, just… in a different kinda way. ^^;;
Hawk over at applegeeks linked him the other day and melted his website, so, uh… i figure a link here might not be too bad, at least for now. Please don’t hammer his site too hard

I hate the post office…the whole building smells like glue. Anyway…I think that fanart is the absolute best praise that any artist can recieve. Personally, I draw lots of fanart. I even did a little bit of Megatokyo fanart that i put up on devart. When I finally make my manga, I hope someone decides to do fanart from it too…
That is a very nice piece of fanart. I especially liked the text effect. Read nana’s everyday life, can’t say it’s my style, so I probably won’t read the rest. Noticed more references to Tsukuyomi Moon Phase, seems like everyone’s watching it, haha.
Dang! The picture by Dan Kim is super creepy! I mean that in the best way. Really well done. It is always nice to see different interpretations of the characters, like Hawk’s piece a few weeks back.
Haha, cool, I love to do fanart and that is really good fanart. I love the black and whiteness of it. ^_^
Wow, that’s a cool fanart. Hi, I really like your style of drawing, and Megatokyo R0X5 man. Great job, and I too make Megatokyo fanart.
Miho is the best MT character ever!
I tried to do some fan art once, but since Fred always seems to be busy, I never sent it. They were all just regular one character drawings. I botched them all, especially Erika, but Piro turned out fine (MT Piro, not Piroshky ;P).
Yeah, fanart can mean quite a bit. I have small readership and one person sent us fanart, and being the first piece we had, I put it up immediately. It just shows that people appreciate your works.
Anyways, back to work on balancing equations *yeah right… more like AIR #3*
That drawing is very Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence-esque. I like it, but it’s much more serious looking than MT.
That fanart is great. Dan really captures Ping well, she looks so beautiful in that pic. Miho is not necessarily as “authentic” but he does make her look disturbed and … messed up, yet sympathetic. There’s a lot of pathos in the whole image. I looked at his site briefly but it’s a bit overwhelming for me.
