This is actually a drawing that i’ve owed someone for a long time (a very long time, as in, a few years ^^;;) I was reminded about it a few months ago and it STILL took this long to remember to do it. I hope she likes it.
Yeah, i had some stuff running thru my head as i drew this, but i’ll let other ponder it. I’ve been avoiding doing anything akin to the Broken Miho drawing for a long time, and i guess its because i dont want to compete with that image, but this is its own, i think. Not as complex, not as good, but still… it’s got something, i think.

Nice… for some reason my impression is that a cat might give after falling off the bannister. Miho has just crashlanded, is gathering up her wing bits and the expression is almost “I *meant* to do that”.
That said.. I kind of miss the mini+leggings outfits that showed her form off better.

TMP manga note: Nippon-export just snared vol. 9 for me (and the TMP art book). I guessing this is the last book of the series (it was released 1/2005 according to the notes .. still wierd to me that the anime was so parallel in release) but I’ll let ya’ll know after I get it via EMS.
Ordered Mahoraba manga via Animaxis but haven’t received any confirmation yet.. hmmmm.
Fred it is wonderful!! I am normally a silent viewer. (I have posted on fredart as ‘pinkbutterfly’ from time to time.) I was introduced to your work about 1 year ago, and have been captivated ever since. I think Miho knows how a butterfly feels when you touch their wings. WONDERFUL

I think that Miho’s look is more like when you broke something important. At first you panic, try desperately to put it back together; horrified at the thought that you will never be able to have it again. Then, after the first burst of panic, there is a short depression. Finally, you pick yourself up, dry your eyes, and calmly pick up the pieces; clinging to the hope that not all is lost.
Maybe I’m reading too much into it…
Anyway, love the pick, been loving the comic, rock on piro!

ive always love the darkly expressions from miho… my favorite :] i say shes got the best expressions. i really like the ones of here in the older style dresses too (liike the picnic ones)
doesnt her mechanical wings seem to remind you of CLAMP’s Clover’s Suu? they give off the same vibe to me. but thats possibly also because of the sad idea and simply the feel broken mechanical wings would give off =/
