I swear, i am sitting here today wondering just what friggin day it is
I thought it was monday. My life rotates around the comic posting times, so when a comic is as late as monday’s was, well, it makes my week seem off by a day. Not that big a deal, i think i’m awake now, so my brain has accepted that it is tuesday.
I’m going to pull my thoughts together for a quick Acen recap for the Megatokyo site, then i have to get to work on Wednesday’s comic. I’ve been spending the morning scrambling to try to take care of the 1000 little things that i have to do now that i’m back and… ugh.
Honestly, i feel like just crawling up in a little ball today. it was a long, far more tiring than usual weekend. I feel a little better than yesterday, but that’s just a relative thing.

Hi Fred.
Look, this probably belongs in an email, but what’s your preference on people releasing recordings of your panel? I’ve got you on tape from ACEN, but since it’s your performance, it’s your copyright.
Sorry to add to the 1000 little things.
R.
I hope you had a good time at anime central essentially anyhow
This probably won’t helpany, but see if you can take a few shortcuts with some of the stuff you have to do. Your very dedicated and have been working very hard. I don’t care wat anyone says, you need a bit of a break, but i’m sure you’ll look after yourself as well as megatokyo! ^_^
It’s odd, but I often lose track of the day’s of the week! lol, but that’s prob cause i’m lazy. All I remmember is “Enterprise on tuesday!” (newest S.T series).
Best wishes
Same here with the days thing… Only mine is to do with collage… During hollidays, I’m contstntly checking the date on my watch, and then looking at the nearest callender to make sure that my minds on the right day of the week…
“Lets see, it is Monday today, right? No… Friday… whoops…”
Piro,
Don’t feel so bad about missing a comic when you worked so hard at ACEN. I was in the dealer room 4 different times, and each time you were there signing stuff for your fans. (kicks self for forgetting MT vol. 3 at home…) Your Internet readers may not be able to appreciate the time and effort you and Seraphim put in last weekend, but the ones who got to see you in person do.
Thanks a bunch!
How dare you miss a comic!
LOL j/k
You’ve been working your ass off so a little bit of wondering what the hell will happen to Piro and Largo on my end is fine
Well, have fun, or atleast try to…
*Waits for Wednesday’s comic*
Dude, I’ve been reading your comic, and it rocks!! How or where can I learn to draw like that? Because I’ve been wanting to learn to draw like that for years. Love the characters, especially Largo…scary, i know. Anyway. Keep up ‘da good work dog. Laters.
Don’t worry so much about it, Piro. Before Acen (when I saw my very first Megatokyo Panel), I never knew you got hatemail! x_x I can understand now why you get so worked up over missing a comic. But people who think that yelling at you will get you to pump out comics faster are dilusional. They need to learn to appreciate what you’re doing and think for a minute that you just might have a life outside of work.
I (and others, I’m sure) am very happy with what you’re doing. Your artwork has became drastically better (shading, a more 3D look, interesting poses and angles, more complex panel set up), and so has the plot. I mean, there actually IS a plot (and it’s right in the middle of a good part!
Yay angst)! I’m just happy to see you update. If you miss an update, then oh well. I can wait. ^^
Um, I think I wandered away from my original point… Just, don’t get so stressed out. (Wow, that came out sounding kinda dumb, but I think you know what I mean. We, your fans, love you and want you to be happy. Would sending you candy make you happy? I almost want to do that. Now I only need your address…)
I think part of the hatemail thing (aside from some people just being jackasses) is that each time you go out of town you insist you’ll maintain your schedule. I know you mean well by it, but when you say you’re going to be on schedule, people are going to hold you to it. Next time just say you’re taking a week off, there will be no updates, and don’t make you sic Dom on us
I think people would react better to that, especially if you point out that aside from your trip to Vegas, you haven’t really taken a vacation since you started doing this full-time.
wow, it was so nice seeing you! my friends were jealous that i got to meet you in person. i love your drawing, and i wish i can draw that well x_x.
keep it up
It was great to see you at Acen. That was my first MT panel, so lots o’ fun ^_^ I didn’t get to the exhibition room in time to get a sketch, but I got one a C-kon a while ago. (it was Boo!) and that was what got me started on your comic. I’ll look forward to next year (and the next comics too, yay) and hope to see you there. btw, liked the extra sketch in the megatokyo blog.
hi piro. i wish i could’ve been there @ the acen and of course seein’ you! this is also my first time typin’ a comment to you. i love your comic soo much, i read it every monday, wednesday, and friday. the first time i heard of megatokyo was.. when i bought the 1st volume. then after that, i started to read the comics on megatokyo.com. keep up the excellent work! i would give megatokyo a 10/10!!
I recommend the “Scottie” technique… if *you* think it’ll take an hour…. double that and then multiple by three.
That way you always look like a genius when you beat schedule. The other thing is to stop promising anti-gravs when all you’ve got parts for are ACME springloaded tennis shoes.
Bugger it all, I wish I could even load the Megatokyo website, much less make it to a con this year to say hi in person again. Deployments kinda suck like that. :/
And if it makes you feel any better, I gave up trying to remember what day of the week it was about a week and a half ago — when you’re stuck in the middle of the ocean, where every day is essentially the same, it just doesn’t matter that much; I’ve been too busy to care, anyway.
Hey piro
yea, just to reiterate what others have said->i reall don’t think it’s fair that some of your “fans” decide to throw hatemail at you. It’s not cool! I appreciate your work, i don’t really mind if the comics are late by a couple of days.
you’re dedicated to your fans; like that other guy, everytime i was in the dealer room at ACEN, you were signing books and drawing sketches. i think that’s totally awesome of you to do that.
thanks for the largo sketch!
I know I say it every time but keep on rockin’ on Fred. Obviously I don’t want you to work yourself into the ground but the fact that you keep on chasing your dream no matter how many set backs you face inspires me greatly.
And remember, these con appearances are important to your fans; even for those of us who are unlikely to be able to ever attend one, there is value in the fact that you make the effort. So try not to feel so bad about these missed comics ‘kay?
Hi Fred
Don’t push yourself too hard and try to get some rest.
I hope it was fun in Acen because I really wanted to go and meet you in person since you were a cool artist!

Hey there Fred
Just wanted to say I was glad I got to stop at the MT booth Friday @ACEN at get your signature in my book. I hope you like the pictures I gave you from last year ^^;; I wish the pics from the panel were a little clearer but oh well!
All I can say is “Wow!”
Thank you for taking so much out of your MT scheduel to come to ACEN with your shop and sign people’s books! I stopped by Friday, Saturday… and well all three days. ^^; I just found myself stopping at the booth and either buying something or watching.
I also loved the panel. So very informative and boo on the people who send hatemail! They should stop and think about the situtation and just be huffy that they didn’t get a page exactly when they wanted it.
I have some photos of you and the shop… I’ll send them eventually… when I get my hands on them. ^^;
