Ok, i must have been tired last night, or my server had better sense than I do. The blogpost i wrote at teh Factory before i headed home last night for some reason… disappeared. No great loss, mind you, but I’m puzzled as to how that happened
It was somewhat mindless ‘gah’ at the fact that my internal clock is so off that it’s starting to get ridiculous. For example, it’s not unusual for me to go to bed between 4 and 5am. What’s with that? It all started back when i went to AX Tokyo last year, and my internal clock hasn’t been the same since. I suppose there would be nothing wrong with it if i didn’t insist on still getting up ‘early’ - but there is only so much you can short yourself of sleep. Really gonna have to do something about this sleep schedule thing.
Anyways, it’s good to have chapter 7 underway. I have been struggling with it and its globbyness for the past few days, mixed in with all the Otakon prep. I have one OTHER project i have to start and finish today or it will never happen (sigh) Such is the life of a whatever the heck i am.
Acquired some new tunes via itunes again. I used to be safe from music purchases with giving endless love to various streamcast stations and having musical tastes that prevent me from ever finding stuff i like in most music stores… damn that itunes.
I picked up DJ Cam’s Underground Vibes a few days ago, and am liking very much. there’s a weird part of my soul that has a real fondness for certain types of downtempo / ambient experimental hip hop. It’s an old disk, but highly recommended.

I understand what you mean with the sleep schedule thing ^_^ I work from home, so during the summer when it’s hot I switch to a nocturnal sleep schedule. However on days when I actually need to see my boss (like today) I only sleep about 3-4 hours or so…it really hurts lol anyway I think that my sleeping self is rambling so I’ll cut this now. I wish you the best in keeping all of your doings on Piro-schedule ^_^
Fred, you aren’t the only one who sleeps late. My usual time to bed is about 12 - 12:30… last night, I had a long night. It TAKES FOREVER to render a video… and the video is due about 6 the next morning… I went to bed before I finished… at 3:28… but… I sleep past the dead-line and the movie is not going to be showed today… ah well. Fred… do your work early, go to bed early, and some normalcy will re-turn… hopefully.
yay for late nighters unless you’re attempting to draw a Jrock star. Oh the horror…
7’s my lucky number, Fred. Maybe it’ll rub off on you. And Ed’s new head makes me wanna give him a noogie…
Whoo! Ch7!
The accursed sleep scedules…I usually take medicine m’self. Can’t stand insomnia >_< Good luck with your scedule tho!
dj cam, woot.
i love that album.
pfft, you can sleep all you want when your dead!
*is looking forward to otakon*
I suppose that with all the work required in getting ready for Otakon, you’re not gonna have time to do anything special for the 5th anniversary (8-14-2005), are you? (Too bad it’s an a Sunday…)
Cant wait to read more, btw, I loved E n v e l o p , it’s is great. .
fifth anniversary of what? Oh, you mean Megatokyo itself. Feh, like its worth celebrating that. I can barely remember what year Megatokyo started, the only reason i sorta can is because it was right after i came back to Michigan. It was such a pathetic start that i certainly dont find anything about it worth celebrating.
I was hopping that you could put up some lessons so that I could learn some more about your style of drawing.Good job I think I,m going to be a fan of your comics.
I can sympathize…I gave up on my internal clock years ago (it’s pretty useless when one has to wake up at a different time every day, or schedule sleep around watch, or just plain forego sleep altogether…). It doesn’t help that we’re on the opposite side of the planet, and thus almost half a day ahead of everyone back home (it’s after 5 in the morning on Saturday as I’m writing this, meaning it’s about 7pm yesterday in CA).
It’s gonna be lots of fun on the way back in a few months…setting clocks ahead an hour every few days, plus the day we get to do twice, Groundhog Day-style, when we cross the dateline. Yay. (OT: We’re halfway done! W00t!)
I have to recommend Uberman’s Sleep Schedule:
http://www.everything2.com/index.pl?node_id=892542
I can personally testify that it works, however you have to have a need and a life-schedule to support it. Having 21+ non-sleeping hours to use in a day is quite helpful.
Hehe, I know what you mean man. My average sleep schedule is 6 AM to 2 PM, and that doesn’t exactly mesh well with school (when I have to wake up at 6:30 or I’m late), now does it?
Just stopping in to say how much I enjoyed the “largoquake” sketch - something about it is very appealing. Hope we see a finished version someday…
