windy!

Woo, the wind is really moving along at a good clip out there today, so much so that you can actually hear t3h factory move around as forces pull on the roof and walls (it’s a concrete block warehouse building with a flat roof, corrugated steel and insulation, etc etc, standard stuff, these kinds of buildings do have flex in the roof in high wind conditions) I actually don’t mind, it’s pretty moody weather, and that is always good for writing.

Fall and approaching winter has really crept up on us here in Michigan, kinda like a cat sneaking into your lap and you wonder how the hell it got there, even tho it’s been there for a while. I don’t mind, of course, i’m one of those nutters that actually likes fall and winter, because its good for my creative soul for some reason (tho it could be argued that this fact alone makes me a rather disturbed individual).

Pretty much done with the new store, hope to be able to open it this week, lots of comic stuff to do (i really hate doing scenes with lots of people in them, it gives me a headache) and i have got to get going on that other project, getting behind on it. Normal stuff for me, really.

What sucks is i probably will have to do yard work all over again. All the leaves i raked up yesterday… seem to be back out where i raked them up from at home. (sigh) ah, the beautiful frustrations of fall. Better get to work on the comic :)

I love fall and winter.. I’m not a big fan of the sun, or hot weather for that matter! There’s just something calming about listening to the rain.. ^.^ I can’t wait for snow!

  2. Jei Says:

    Ah yes. The wind is quite dangerous outside in Southern Ontario as well. I was coming home from band practice and I almost was pulled backward with my bass O.O;

I do so enjoy the fall and winter. The scenary is just so much more beautiful to me. It certainly is inspiring. ^_^

Good luck with your next comic installment. You’re doing an amazing job!

  3. Lord Merciless Says:

The only reason I don’t enjoy the winter that much is because I seem to be afflicted much like Saeko: I’m cold all year ’round, even in the summer…

Ah, well, to each their own ^^

This arc is coming along very well so far, I can’t wait to see what you’re going to make of it.

Fall is such a colorful season.. makes for killa inspiration… both artists and poets alike i see now. heh.
talking harsh winds? it gets bad in Cincy too. my tree fell over a couple days ago from how harsh the wind was on it. days like that make you not wanna go outside… but you still do anyway! ^-^
Good luck with the arc.. its a great story!!

Oh dear… If you’re a nutter for liking fall and winter, then I don’t even want to think about what I am… O.O

Yes, autumn is a wonderfull season… i find winter though, my most creative time, the snow seems to help me think clearly…

Anyway, hope the season of creativity keeps you on track… well not as far off track maybe I should say.

And good to know Mega Gear is finnaly due for an update and Revamp.

the wind was blowing that bad in ann arbor? i figured it wasnt that bad other than downtown birmingham

I always wanted to live by big abandoned industrial buildings. I draw and write about places like that all the time, and never even been near em for long enough.

    Lucky.

“Disturbed”? Nah. I moved from the desert Southwest to the Puget Sound area precisely because I love clouds and rain. Well, OK–I guess that my personal history doesn’t necessarily disprove the “disturbed” theory. But from _my_ perspective…

  11. Ivy Says:

Fall and Spring are my ideal seasonal climates. Not too hot nor cold. =P I really don’t like the cold — or the wind… -_-” But I love snow! X3 I sometimes wish it’d just snow without all the “temperature-becoming-cooler-and-colder” process… I get cold easily… ><” So windy weather doesn’t help (unless it’s uber hot).

    Ah… yes raking leaves. Such a pain. =P That’s why I don’t do it! x] We hire people to do it… ~-~

Well good luck to you with your next comic!

  12. BattleSchoolGraduate Says:

I love winter! It’s the only time I can practice snow sports, which are my favorites. This transition time stinks though; I always wish it would hurry up and be one or the other, instead of hanging out in this stupid middle place^^’ Good luck with those leaves, and don’t give yourself an aneurism with that new comic!

  13. Day Says:

I also deeply enjoy fall and winter, expecially in my hometown. Philomath is nice and windy, plus since it’s Oregon we get rain all day everyday. Storms and poweroutages too, makes life more interesting. Some of my happiest memories are all about being comfy inside with the grey light and listening to the rain fall. It makes everything much more cozy! Best of all, the bad things about the seasons like raking leaves and shoveling snow aren’t required in Oregon where we have mostly evergreens and little snow cept in the mountains. Meh.. made me get distracted and ramble and feel all homesick…

meh. Hope you get lots of whatever makes fall so special for you!

“plus since it’s Oregon we get rain all day everyday.”

Hey, small world, I happen to live in Oregon as well. I always tend to be more creative during bad weather - probably because my brain operates on “low power” mode during the summer.

Now if only I had a reason to get out of the house and enjoy this weather. Maybe I should get off my lazy bum and go for a walk sometime.

Eheh.. It was so Windy up here! They said winds up to 90 KM/H. Hehe. Yesss, Fall’s here! Hope you’r DSL get’s back up soon!

Hey Fred, I’m not sure how often you check your private messages on either fredart or megatokyo forums, nor do I know if you’d really care about what I have to say, but I sent Fred-rin and Piro a message:
    (something something =) on Oct 22 2005.
    Also, a few days later, I e-mailed fred@fredart.com and piro@megatokyo.com on Oct 26.

I want to be sorry to annoy, but I don’t think you’ve read a single message thus far from Somebody_Else (forums) or Somebody.Else.546@Gmail.com (e-mail)…I’m probably being too rude…

Have a great day, Mr. Gallagher.

Fall is awsome, and winter is t3h super awsome. I find both to be the far better seasons, mostly due to my deep loathing of insects. Winter also comes with skiing, and days to stay inside and draw. Also Christmas. Can’t forget that. Unless your not Christian, in which case it’s ok.
