Heheh, i feel like going back to the way i used to rant and blog on the mt site… whine bitch and moan about everything. I can’t really do it tho, because the net is full of people who are far better at it than i am 
Another day to slog thru. I think all of this would go better if both seraphim and i felt better, but we’re making headway. Lots of things story-wise just clicked this morninig, some things that i have been struggling to get to line up, so i feel tons better about that little problem - now i just gotta draw like a madman… after i get the last bit of graphics done for the store, and check everything. That and i have a dentist appointment today (don’t ask) so i’m sure to be in a loverly mood later today.
I think i should dangle a carrot in front of my nose, some sort of treat to reward myself for slogging thru all of this without getting morose and fatalistic (no, i never do that). I want this. I’m always wanting some figure or another, but this one i really like. I dont want people to read anything from this, but Saber sometimes reminds me of Kimiko.
I wont get it, of course. I’ve vowed to not fall into that black hole of figure collecting (the same way i avoided cell collecting) but i shall entertain the wild notion for the rest of the day to make myself feel better.

The carrot plan sounds like a good one; I’m currently dangling the complete Nadesico collection in front of my nose.
Saber, Kimiko. Kimiko, Saber. I don’t really see it. Except, oddly enough, maybe in that figure you linked to… then again I haven’t seen many pictures of Saber without the half-ton of armour.

I’ve never gotten a Kimiko feel from Saber. For some reason I keep wanting to do a fanart of Ping as Saber in the armored pinafore and an energy Excalibur like Hawk did in that guest strip. I also keep envisioning Erika as Rider…. mmmmm

I can’t deny that if I was a Japan resident, I would be a figure collector…especially those of the TYPE-MOON company. I applaud you for resisting.
I, in the mean time, will prepare for being seen as ecchi because I think figure models are beautiful and worth collecting.
Glad things seem to be coming together with MegaGear also. I look forward to seeing the new look ^^

For ages, the only things I had on my “figure shrine” was Motoko from Love-Hina (3 of those).
Now.. dammit… I’ve got a little Hazuki (TMP) figure, and a few Ai Yori Aoshi figurettes and then.. then you just had to point out Shuffle! Aieeeee….
Now I have this string of pre-orders…. and constantly lurking to see when my favorite two (Nerine and Asa) will appear.. dammit I could have bought more computer gear.. but nooooooooo
I have my head in a paper bag now….. perhaps once my Shuffle! shrine is done I’ll be normal again.

I don’t know how you are able to resist that figure. I must be sheltered; I have never seen anything like that before.
BTW, I just want to compliment you on the great work you do. I really love mt and I can’t wait to see where the story is going!

It’s not a black hole Fred. It’s just your conscience and inner child saying, “gimme”. It’s different for everyone and dangling a carrot in front of our nose isn’t a bad idea, but don’t forget, you’re human like the rest of us (albeit, a very talented one at that). Everyone needs to reward themselves sometimes. Considering especially how tasty carrots are.

I have to admit i’ve resisted to an extent, I only have 9 models. 5 Chobits (1 sumomo/plum, 3 chii an 1 Yuzuhime) 3 aliens (from the aliens films) an starbug (from red dwarf). Although i’ll probably be getting some of the models from the shuffle! range an mabye evangelion as well. So many to choose from. It isn’t a black hole its supporting the series thats how I like to think of it anyway.
On a more important note, congrats on more excellent comics, fred. The return of the evil Sega I’m sure the Dom is lovin seeing the character cause fights. Keep up the good work an canna wait till the new Megagear store opens.
