Well, well, looks like Anime U is subbing Kamikano. yay
Now if only Rozen Maiden Traumend would air again - i think i know how people feel when i take that week break in the story line >_<
I got my first order from BK1 yesterday. BK1 is an online bookstore in japan, much like Amazon, and where most of my friends order their manga from these days since their prices are really good, the service is good, and they ship to the US
They do NOT have any ordering information in english, but there are several good ‘how to’ guides out there that can walk you through the process (including this one, which i used… uhm, yeah. It was a little disturbing to know what most people who use this infolink are interested in buying, but i guess Yaoi fans need their fix too :P) Up to now i just stole Dom’s manga or bugged friends to pick up stuff for me. Now i can buy my own, though i don’t plan to stop stealing dom’s manga.
Finally, i was positively tickled to hear that MAGI got married… to none other than Ran Ayanaga, the mangaka behind R.O.D. (who had also worked with Akamatsu Ken in the production of Itsudatte my Santa). Congrats to the happy couple
(As you may recall, i often joke about someday finding my own personal MAGI - an assistant who can draw my style better than i can :P) Thanks to Manga Jouhou for the news and links, and Cortana for some other clarifying info
Oh… i just noticed the title of Ayanaga-san’s website… oh dear. That’s… very interesting. Given that she penned Seraphim’s favorite manga about kick ass librarian-types, and then this. Interesting.
(munches on some tim hortons dougnuts…)

I assume you meant that you are positively “tickled” rather than positively “ticked” as you have written.
You had me confused there for a minute. First you’re ticked that they got married, then you turn around and call them a happy couple. …Or did you really mean that you’re upset? I’m confused.
Maybe I’ll try BK1 sometime. Thanks for the heads up.
Gah. that was a terrible gaf. *tickled* is the right word. Doh. Damn small screens. >_< Fixed.
Ah, the confusion is gone.
Worryingly that comment made perfect sense to me in context, for some reason I was getting images of a check box marked with a big green tick and next to it a ‘+’ and a smiley face. Possibly after ‘kitten caboodle’ the other day, my brain just auto translated (I’m not even going into the strange but cute mental images that one produced).
You’ve also caused me to fall hopelessly in love with Seras from Hellsing, that’s another anime/manga on the list as well as World of Narue, and I’m going to be keeping an eye on MAGI’s site for the uber-pretty FF7 art…
*Watches free time dissolve away.*
Yaoi fans do need their fix. ^_^
ah… well there aer some many things people must understand at time i suppose but i cant complain i mean he must be typing pretty fast to mess up so that’s really normal… oh an the pic for the site you stated early i do find it funny an wierd

To work with Akamatsu Ken?….sw33t. I just bought his new series not released here yet called Magister Negi Magi Negima! on DVD (thru eBay of course) I’m not sure if a 10yr old kid can have a relationship with a bunch of 13 year old girls but I’m curious to see where it’s heading. Itsudatte my Santa? Heard of it. Never read it though. Wonder if it’s at my local Borders. Thanks for the BK1 info!

duuuude….
Oh yes, shipping from Japan…I can just tell stories about sendings from Hongkong *sigh*
(my little sister loves Rozen Maiden, too…)
But are you just interested in German Manga (just the language)? My sis has got “Kamichama Karin 1″ by Koge-Donbo and doesn’t need it anymore.
(i don’t know what you think of me -.-)
Speaking of OEL manga … I’ve been pretty uniformly disappointed (mostly because Tokyopop is pushing genre I just don’t care about) but one item caught my eye that I actually enjoyed: Dramacon by she-named-Svetlana.
Romance manga but written from the girl’s POV and I swear most guys should have this book stapled to their head on what and what not to do. It’ll be interesting to see if the author can keep it up.
I’m also interested to see what Magikano is going to do …. I’m still in pain over what the animators did to Negima (which I’m still reading and finding pretty entertaining as a combination of romance and magical action).
hey fred, just thought you might like to check this out, found it posted over at the Applegeeks forum, just scroll down the page a bit ;P

Kamikano? I thought their projects at the moment were Magikano and Hantsuki. The former’s a bit hit-and-miss, but it’s entertaining so far… even with the stereotypical brother complex Maika has.
And, from what I recall, Akamatsu’s weeklong vacation back over Christmas involved attending the wedding there, and doing some jetski. Didn’t Ayanaga help with or do a bunch of the character designs for Negima as well?
