3 DPDs

Yes, this could very well be another ‘ah hell, i tripped up the scripting of the next dozen or so comics and need to go back and revisit them’ blog posts. Hey, it is my personal blog, i can do that if i want :P

Actually, ‘in service day’ was a good description of yesterday. With a very aggressive schedule in place to get book 4 finished and more work on the extra material than i had anticipated, as well as Con season fast approaching, Sarah and i had to sit down and do some planning. I’ve set a very aggressive schedule for the month of March that takes into account that this is starting to get down to the end of the chapter, and the release of comics for this is almost as important as hitting my book deadlines. I have to double my page output this month to get things done. Not something i’ve ever really managed before, so we’ll see if im up to the challenge.

Of course, page count means nothing if you have no solid writing to go from. I’ve been working this morning on fixing some things, and the flow of the tail end of this chapter is starting to flow much better now. I have to spend some time tackling the Circuity writing as well today, because i have to start production on the new pages tomorrow. Oh, and i have to help Sarah with domestic and international shipping today :)

Like i said, i intend to blog what i’m up to this month to see if i can balance this schedule with keeping the website up to snuff. I ended up using the Piroko artwork i was going to post here as a DPD yesterday, but i think it worked out ok. 3 DPDs in the past month is a lot, and i’m determined not to have any more as the chapter comes to a close. I don’t make promises because things overtake me way too often, but i’m really going to try. So much for keeping up with any anime series. :P

Oh, and the new Ph34r the Cute Ones shirt should be available at the end of the month. :P

in other randomness, I’m a little creeped out by the fact that you can still buy this, years after i first came across it. Yes, that is a 1:1 life sized Hoshino Ruri doll. Its on sale too, only 257,250 yen($2,215.20)! You can add it to your collection. (pic linked from here.)

Uhm, yeah.

The Japanese are very good at making a person go “That’s so very wrong” and “Oooooo, that would be cool to have” at the same time.

    “Aggressive schedule”? Oh, dear.

Your DPDs are pretty much always cool, so I for one don’t feel at all slighted when you post one instead of a comic.
Once again, can’t wait for the next volume and the reworked Circuity!
And if I could afford to, I’d prolly buy lots of stuff from MegaGear . . . too bad I’m broke.

honestly, don’t sweat not keeping up with the anime… Karin ep. 15 is such a cliffhanger that I’m not sure I shouldn’t have waited till the next one came out to watch it, and rec is short enough that when it’s done, you’ll be able to watch it in one sitting. though Sakai Kanako (Aka’s voice) is so cute I started d/ling Magikano based more on the fact she was in it than anything else…

    Hey there,

Just thought I’d pass along a supporting email over how you handled that 7 masters of the webcomics deal or whatever it was called. Good job. I like you’re work and I don’t really think of it as webcomic work so much as I think of it as an ongoing tight and complex story.

You do a really good job with it, which is one of the reasons why I own your work in three Dark Horse volumes and will own it in the future in the new DC comics versions.

I know you’ll keep up the good work.

    Chris

I think it’s kinda weird that while I was on Den of Angels, I saw the thread of someone who purchased one of those lifesized Chii dolls. crazy doll people.
