one to go

It’ll be interesting to see if i can really manage to get that third comic done early today.  It would not be a problem if yesterday was not taken up by a number of things that kept me away from my desk completely for most of the day, but the encouraging thing is that i am still on track enough here that the possibility of getting it done on time is actually quite good.  ^_^  Jack is doing much better at playing on his own for periods of time, and i’ve learned to anticipate some of the things he needs (like his feeding and nap schedule) which keeps him happy and not worked up trying to communicate such things to me.  This fathering stuff does have a learning curve, one which i think will never actually flatten out.

I’d type more, but jack is sitting in my lap right now and it’s getting hard t \lksfa  klaek keep him f ro msa  hitting the kyeboard.

I know what you’re going through. I have a 11-month-old sibling that I babysit practically all day. In fact, he’s on my lap right now, so I had to give him another old keyboard to play with so he’ll stop messing my work up. It works for a while, but eventually he realizes that I’m using another one and he wants to eat it. I know it’s not the same as being a father, but since my father is never home, it’s close.

FYI, the reason the above comment is shown twice is because Julian (my lil’ bro) decided to smack the keyboard as hard as possible and I have no idea what he pressed.

Yeah, the curve doesn’t flatten out. My oldest is 12, and I’m still trying to figure things out with her. But hey! At least she doesn’t chew on keyboards any more…

True enough. Mine are three and four and inseparable. Of course, that just means they’re planning to take over the house (and perhaps the world) TOGETHER rather than just causing trouble as individuals. Oh, should we mark the last sentence of this blog entry as Jack’s first work posted online? Glad you’re able to make the time count, Fred. It only comes around once!
